1. Eligibility
Access to polishretreats.com is restricted to persons aged 18 years and above. A number of the venues featured in the editorial register operate age-restricted hospitality facilities — licensed bars, adult evening programmes, and, in the specific case of the country's licensed casino-hotel properties, gaming floors operated under Poland's Gaming Act. Because the register references these casino-hotel entries alongside conventional accommodation, Polish law requires that the guide limit access to adults. By clicking the "Enter" confirmation on first arrival you affirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction of residence.
2. Nature of the guide
Polish Retreats is an independent editorial publication produced by Polish Retreats sp. z o.o. ("we", "us", "our"). The site contains commentary, photography, historical background and factual reference material about hospitality properties in the Republic of Poland. It is a guide, not a reservations service. We do not accept bookings on this site, we do not hold rates or availability, and we do not process payments. Reservations with any listed property are made directly with that property; we are not a party to the resulting contract.
3. Intellectual property
All editorial text, page structure and site design is © 2026 Polish Retreats sp. z o.o. and may not be reproduced without written permission. Photography credited to third parties (properties, tourism boards, wire agencies) remains the property of the credited rights-holder and appears here under license or under the fair-quotation provisions of Polish copyright law (Ustawa o prawie autorskim i prawach pokrewnych). Requests for permission to reproduce any part of the site should be directed to [email protected].
4. User conduct
Visitors agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the site by any third party. Automated scraping of the site's content, the distribution of malware through any of our forms, and any attempt to circumvent the age-confirmation mechanism are expressly prohibited.
5. Third-party venues and links
Venues featured in the editorial register are independent operators. We are not their agent, their partner, or their representative, and we make no warranty as to the availability, condition, pricing, licensing status or operational conduct of any listed property. Where a listing includes an outbound link to a third-party website — including but not limited to the properties' own booking sites or independently recommended venues — we exercise no editorial control over the destination and disclaim any liability for its content, terms, or subsequent handling of visitor data. Sponsored recommendations, where they appear, are marked as such on the individual listing.
6. Limitation of liability
The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Polish law, Polish Retreats sp. z o.o., its directors, employees and editorial contributors disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In no event shall we be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the site or any content herein.
7. Data protection
Personal data collected through the contact form and via server logs is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms and reflects our obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and the Polish Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the city of Warsaw.
9. Amendments
We may from time to time amend these terms to reflect changes in the law, our editorial practice, or the site's technical arrangements. The current effective date is displayed at the head of this page. Continued use of the site following an amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
